Maiden sailing world tour visits North Shore

The sailing yacht Maiden, the first to be sailed around the world by an all-female crew in the 1989-90 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race is accompanied by canoes from the Pulling Together Society as it approaches the St.

The sailing yacht Maiden, the first to be sailed around the world by an all-female crew in the 1989-90 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race is accompanied by canoes from the Pulling Together Society as it approaches the St.Roch Dock at North Vancouver's Wallace Mews on Saturday August 3rd for it's official welcome ceremony to Vancouver. It will depart August 6th for Seattle as it continues it's Maiden Factor World Tour promoting the message that an education is a right for every girl . The tour commenced in the UK in November 2018 and is scheduled to finish in May 2021.
