WEST Vancouver police are asking residents to review their nighttime security procedures after two home invasions early Monday morning.
A Morgan Crescent resident called police just before 3 a.m. when he was awoken by his home alarm system, followed by the slamming of his rear door. Minutes later, on neigbouring Erwin Drive, another resident called police after he spotted an intruder in his basement after hearing strange noises.
Police searched the area but no suspect was found. No items were taken in the home invasions. In both cases, doors were left unlocked overnight, investigators noted.
