Jack Black is a fan of Vancouver.
It seems the Hollywood star has some fond memories of time spent in the area; when CTV's Etalk host Tyrone Edwards spotted the star on the Golden Globes' red carpet Sunday night, Jan. 7, Black immediately hijacked the interaction to talk about Vancouver and, specifically, the famed Grouse Grind.
"You ever been to Vancouver? You ever hike up that mountain there? The Grouse Grind?" Black asked.
"You've done the Grouse Grind?" responded Edwards.
"Yeah, you get to the top and you drink that smoothie," Black replied.
The short interaction happened as Black walked into the awards show, where he was nominated for best song for "Peaches" from the Super Mario Bros. Movie in which he played Bowser. The song lost to "What Was I Made For" by Billie Eilish from the Barbie movie.
Black has been on Canada's West Coast a couple of times for productions, including The Big Year and Saving Silverman.
