The votes are in! Today we published our annual Readers Choice Awards feature celebrating all of our favourite North Shore things as picked by you, our readers. Congrats to all the nominees and winners!
This year, there were 6,660 votes cast on an array of favourites that include barber shop, locksmith and lingerie shop, as well as a new category that is a sign of the times: favourite e-bike store.
We also recognized a number of platinum winners who have earned top spot in their category for five straight years, including restaurants Anatoli Souvlaki (Greek), Yaas Grill (Persian) and Fishworks (seafood), picked as the favourite in their category for 10 straight years. And then there’s the Black Bear Neighbourhood Pub, which has gone triple platinum in the best neighbourhood pub category. Cheers to that!
Among other platinum picks are BC Playthings in the locally owned toy store category, North Shore Ski & Board in the ski/board store category, Little Pink Door in the women’s fashion store category, and Lynn Valley Orthopaedic & Sports Physiotherapy in the favourite physiotherapy clinic category, with each of those businesses earning top spot in their category for at least seven years in a row.
