The 31-year-old was working at a road construction site on Mountain Highway at Chamberlain Drive around 9 a.m. when she was hit by the truck as it was slowly backing into position, according to North Vancouver RCMP.

The woman ended up pinned under the trucks rear wheels. She was later rushed to Lions Gate Hospital for treatment.

The RCMPs traffic unit and Worksafe B.C. investigators were on the scene Wednesday afternoon to determine what happened. The sites safety procedures and an inspection of the dump truck will be part of the investigation.
