At approximately 6:45pm on Friday March 22nd a fire hydrant at the corner of 16th St W and Lonsdale was struck by a vehicle and overturned. The driver reportedly sped off. Passing pedestrians took the opportunity to take photos and watch as firefighters worked to turn off the water valve.
