Sofiabella will host an evening of fun and fashion, 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada's Light the Night Walk. Five per cent of all sales will be donated to the Vancouver walk, which takes place Oct. 20 in Stanley Park. The Edgemont Village boutique, which sells age-appropriate clothing and accessories for girls sizes 7-16, will offer a 20 per cent discount on purchases during the fundraising evening. Orquidea boutique is helping to spread the word that October is breast cancer awareness month. Bring in an old bra and the store will hang it in the front window to help increase awareness of the disease. For each person who brings in a bra, Orquidea will donate $5 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Orquidea is also offering a large cosy scarf as a gift with purchase of $100 or more of regular priced merchandise, to Oct. 31.
