Do you have something to say about the North Shore?
Can you say it in an entertaining and informative way, in approximately 700 words? And could you maybe say something entirely different yet still entertaining and informative a couple weeks later? And then a couple weeks after that? And then….
If you’re nodding your head to these questions, the North Shore News might have a job for you. We’re looking for a writer (or writers) for a North Vancouver and West Van general interest column for our print publication and online.
There would be payment attached to the column, although it definitely falls into the “don’t quit your day job” level of remuneration. But you’d be richly compensated with all the clout and love that comes with writing for a beloved community newspaper.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, send me a note. Or, better yet, whip up approximately 700 words on a topic of your choice and send it my way. You can also include a two-three sentence bio describing yourself and your connection to the North Shore.
Andy Prest is the editor of the North Shore News.
