Traffic was disrupted along West Vancouvers Marine Drive Friday morning after a transit bus collided with a manhole cover, rupturing its fuel tank and sending diesel pouring on to the road.

The incident closed the bus lane outside of Park Royal South, requiring buses to reroute through the malls south side parking lot near Cobs Bread.

The main problem right now is that it ruptured the diesel tank, so theres a

big environmental cleanup going on there right now, said Drew Snider,

spokesman for TransLink.
