BCAA's Great Battery Roundup: In support of Environment Week in Canada, the British Columbia Automobile Association will collect used automotive batteries until June 19 and arrange for them to be properly recycled. Batteries can be dropped off at any Fountain Tire location throughout the province. UBC Law Students' Legal Advice Program: Low income individuals can seek free legal advice at clinics at the North Shore Neighbourhood House, 225 East Second St., North Vancouver. It will be open Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. and Wednesdays, 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. until Aug. 17. To book an appointment call 604-822-5791.

Learn to Fish Program: The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC will offer classes for families every Sunday (excluding July 1) until Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at Rice Lake in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, North Vancouver. A Charity Garage Sale will take place June 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 5736 Cranley Dr., West Vancouver. Funds raised will go to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. Porsche Show and Ride: A fundraiser for cystic fibrosis will feature a Porsche display Sunday, June 17, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 2400 Block of Marine Drive in Dundarave Village, West Vancouver. Funds will be raised by means of donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada for registering a Porsche for the event and by selling off rides in the Porsche parade up Cypress Mountain at the end of the show.
