45th Annual Southern Straits Classic: The West Vancouver Yacht Club will host a competitive sailing event March 29-31. In addition to the on-water activity, there will also be activities taking place near the start line at Dundarave Pier, 25th Street and Bellevue Avenue. The community is invited to enjoy music from the West Vancouver Pops Band, live commentary about participating boats and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Stamp Collection Fundraiser: The Order of the Eastern Star is collecting used postage stamps. Stamps can be dropped off at the reception desk at the North Shore News, 126 East 15th St., North Van. The fraternal organization uses money from the sale of stamps to purchase medical supplies to make and provide dressings for cancer patients.
