North Shore residents may have noticed a vessel in Burrard Inlet this week not usually seen in local waters.
BC Ferries’ Coastal Renaissance is making a pit stop in Seaspan’s Vancouver Drydock this week for repairs to one of its propeller hubs.
Work is expected to be complete May 22, according to BC Ferries, when the ship will depart North Vancouver and return to Tsawwassen, where it will resume service on the Tsawwassen to Duke Point ferry run on May 23.
The Coastal Renaissance was one of three ferries built at Germany’s Flensburger shipyard. It went into service in 2008.
