An online survey lets city residents give feedback on the plan to redesign Kings Mill Walk Park.
City of North Vancouver residents have a few day left to provide public input on the draft concept design for a revamped Kings Mill Walk Park.

Kings Mill is a popular park in the city that connects to the Spirit Trail and one of the few places in the municipality that offers views across the inlet, water access and an off-leash dog area.

The park is located in the Harbourside neighbourhood and is adjacent to Concert Properties’ development.

According to the city, the main features of the draft design concept include: More nature-focused areas on the west side; a children’s play area, public washroom, and community plaza; headland lookouts with seating to enjoy the views; and separated paths for bikes and pedestrians.

At least one letter writer recently penned an opinion piece bemoaning what the draft concept could mean for dog-owners, who felt the redesign would leave their favourite off-leash park space a size too small.

You can share your thoughts on the draft design concept for Kings Mill Walk by visiting the city website.

Feedback will be considered before the final report is submitted to council for consideration later this summer.

The online survey is open until end-of-day Monday (May 31), according to a city spokesperson. The survey opened on May 17.
