Track of the Day: Tina Brooks, “Minor Move”. Title track from Brooks' first Blue Note session as a leader with the man himself on tenor saxophone, Lee Morgan (trumpet), Sonny Clark (piano), Doug Watkins (bass) and Art Blakey (drums). Recorded in 1958 but not released until 1980.

Cory Weeds/Julian MacDonough Quintet play the music of Tina Brooks in a Rare Recordings Revisited session at Frankie’s Jazz Club tonight at 8 p.m. Tickets $15.
