Sleepwalking Through the Mekong is also the name of a documentary the band made in Cambodia in 2007. Monique Levi, co-producer, describes the film on IMDb: “Los Angeles based band Dengue Fever goes to Cambodia, native home of their lead singer. They perform live shows, play with master musicians, and bridge the gap between music lost during the reign of the Khmer Rouge and the people and culture of today.”.
L.A.’s Dengue Fever, featuring Chhom Nimol on lead vocals, are headlining Night 2 of the Burger-A-GoGo fest at the Rickshaw Theatre tonight with Winter, Summer Twins and Roya. Single night tickets, $18.
