Arshia Sorourian is the latest North Shore writer to become a self-published author.

The nine-year-old was on hand at Indigo Park Royal in May to sign copies of his book Turning the Gears of Your Business:155 Quotes to Success. His parents note he sold more than 100 copies of his book in its first month of publication.

The young author writes in his introduction to the book that he was inspired to write it when his dad said he would buy him a hoverboard if he wrote 150 business and leadership tips in a notebook. He then decided to turn the list into a book. Tips include “Have a parking solution” and “Decorate the business to match events.”

The book is available on Amazon, CreateSpace, and at chapters.indigo.ca. Arshia will be back to sign his book at Indigo Park Royal on June 12, 4-7 p.m.
