North Vancouver's Zazou Salon and Spa was one of a network of Vancouver area hair salons that recently offered a day of by-donation haircuts in aid of research and support for people affected by phenylketonuria (PKU).

hosted its Hair 2 Help Cut-a-Thon earlier this fall with proceeds supporting those affected by the rare, brain-threatening metabolic disorder through B.C. Children's Hospital and CanPKU (the Canadian PKU and Allied Disorders organization).
Zazou raised more than $3,300 for the cause through its fundraising day.
