A new event hosted by the North Shore News aims to connect newcomers with organizations and services needed to help them settle in their new homes.

That’s a lot of good news!

The first ever Newcomer Expo will be held Saturday, Jan. 25 in the Pipe Shop on the North Vancouver waterfront. The expo aims to provide newcomers with information and connections with local organizations and businesses that can help them settle into Canada.

What organizations should participate?

If your organization provides essential services or products to new immigrants on the North Shore, the Newcomer Expo offers a unique opportunity to connect with this group and offer your help. Organizations in fields such as real estate, banking, education, employment services, government services, nonprofit sectors and more can make a real difference for newcomers attending the expo.

There are limited sponsorship opportunities and booths available, and interested organizations can contact the North Shore News at [email protected].

Who should attend?

The Newcomer Expo is free for anyone who wants to come by and see what services are available. The expo will run from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 at the Pipe Shop.
