Built for 450 students, North Vancouver’s St. Thomas Aquinas struggles to accommodate an enrolment of 600.
STA is slated to be torn down and rebuilt with the old convent transformed into an arts centre and the recently finished science wing staying intact. A new sports field and track will be also installed.
Construction workers pour the foundation walls in mid-January with work scheduled to continue through 2018.
