Metro Vancouverites may see some showers before a more organized rainstorm this weekend.
Following a long stretch of record-breaking heat, the Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes temperatures closer to seasonal averages and showers or rain.
Starting Thursday, March 21, V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station is forecasting a high of 11 C and a low of 7 with possible showers throughout the day.
Other parts of the region are expected to see similar temperatures. The Coquitlam Centre area is expected to have a high of 12 C and a low of 5, while Delta's Ladner neighbourhood should reach a high of 12 C and a low of 6 C.
Fort Langley will experience warmer temperatures than other parts of the region, with a high of 14 C expected Thursday.

Friday's forecast includes a 60 per cent chance of showers across the Lower Mainland and periods of heavier rain overnight.
Heading into the weekend, an organized rainstorm should bring the first significant rain in weeks. However, Sunday is expected to be dry during the day and temperatures are expected to climb up to 12 C in parts of the region.
Rain is expected to return heading into next week, with showers expected on Monday and Tuesday.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Derek Lee told V.I.A. in an interview on March 18 that the wet pattern should continue into the following week until at least Wednesday, March 27.
But V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows that another potent rain event is expected on Wednesday, meaning that the wet weather could persist for at least a day or two.
