It seems the rhetoric from U.S. President Donald Trump about tariffs and the "51st state" is affecting what locals buy.
In a recent poll by V.I.A., readers were asked if his recent comments about Canada have affected their buying habits.
And the response was overwhelming.
More than 85 per cent of local readers, and essentially 85 per cent of all readers, say they're buying more Canadian products in response Trump's rhetoric and plans.
And it may be more than plans, soon. Trump has said the tariffs he originally announced for Canada in February will start this week.
V.I.A. polled 1814 readers and asked the question: Have the recent actions and rhetoric from American President Donald Trump affected your buying habits?
