Poll: Here's how easy it actually is to make friends in Vancouver according to locals

Vancouverites ranked friend-making in the city on a scale of one to 10.

Vancouver can be a tough place to make friends. Most locals would agree.

Vancouver isn't known for being an outgoing-ly friendly and easy-to-befriend city. Most locals would agree that it may be as cold as it's winter (perhaps not as cold as the rest of the country, but a smidge dreary at least).

While some residents make optimistic efforts to change the city's unwelcoming reputation through a giant friend-making group, AI-scheduled socializing and even painting Vancouver yellow, many continue to find friend-making challenging.

Just over 30 per cent of locals find making friends in Vancouver "super difficult," voting on a scale of one to 10 with one being "super difficult" and 10 being "super easy." Most Vancouverites voted between one and four.

While the majority of locals chose one (30 per cent), three (14 per cent), and two (12 per cent), in that order, the poll took a positive turn with nearly 10 per cent of Vancouverites voting eight before dropping back down to four.

Looks like Vancouver's reputation as an unfriendly city continues to hold true.
