Hall of Fame rocker Daryl Hall only made it through three songs before leaving the stage at a Vancouver concert on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Hall, formerly of the duo Daryl Hall & John Oates, was playing a show as part of the PNE's Summer Night Concerts at the Pacific Coliseum. After three songs he sat down at the piano on stage before apologizing and stating that he'd have to leave the stage, video footage from the concert show.
"He left the stage because he was not well and couldn't return. He wants his fans in Vancouver to know how sorry he is and he looks forward to returning to Vancouver soon," writes PNE spokesperson Laura Ballance in an email to V.I.A.
"I know that the PNE, along with all of his fans here in B.C., are sending him our best wishes to feel better soon."
All ticket holders will get a full refund for the cancelled concert.
Hall, now 77, rose to fame in the 70s and 80s as half of Daryl Hall & John Oates with songs like "Private Eyes," "You Make My Dreams," and "Maneater," (which was one of the songs he played in Vancouver).
Together, they released 18 studio albums, with the last one, a Christmas album, coming out in 2006. In 2023, Hall launched a lawsuit against Oates.
Hall released several solo albums throughout his career, including D earlier this year.
At the time of publication, there has been no announcement from Hall's social media accounts regarding his current condition.
