Want to visit some of the best Christmas light displays in Metro Vancouver but don't want to worry about driving or route planning?
The Transit Museum Society (TraMS) has organized a unique way to see Christmas decor with two tours around the city on one of their museum pieces, also known as a bus. Specifically, it's a 1996 New Flyer D40LF that saw service in both Vancouver and Victoria; the bus was acquired by TraMS earlier this year.
And it'll be dressed up as the most famous reindeer of all (if you recall it's Rudolph, the crimsoned-nosed caribou).
The magical journeys through Metro Vancouver all lit up will take place on Dec. 10 and 17 as the bus meanders through the city's communities for three-and-a-half hours (with a break).
Tickets are $35 for adults; money raised through the tours will go to funding the society, which cares for a number of vintage busses and transit equipment from the Lower Mainland.
