A Metro Vancouver resident was given a warm note from a thankful local while riding the SkyTrain this week.
Sera Oh, an early childhood educator, was riding the SkyTrain on Monday (March 14) when she saw an older couple board the train while an attendant held the door for them.
"I yielded my seat for an old couple when they got on the train," she explained in a Twitter post.
After she did this, the man thanked her and handed her a red envelope.
The letter reads: "It's small acts of kindness that make the world a better place. So thank you very much for all your kindness and generosity."

TransLink asks that you give the seats closest to the doors to passengers with mobility needs including pregnant people, people with disabilities, older people, and people with injuries.
Not all disabilities are visible, so if someone asks for your seat because they have a disability, please take them at their word and give up your seat, they add.
