Vancouver police are reporting that the stabbing happened outside a coffee shop around 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 27.
A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to VPD spokesperson Const. Tania Visintin in a press release.
"Police believe the victim and suspect knew each other," reads the release.
No arrests have been made.

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating a stabbing in Chinatown.
Officers were called to the scene on the 200 block of Keefer Street (between Main and Gore streets) after one person was reportedly stabbed Sunday, Oct. 27.
"The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries," states the VPD on social media. "No arrest has been made and the motive is unknown at this time."
Officers are at the scene collecting evidence as of 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27.
