A second vaccine clinic day for Bowen Island has been added to the Vancouver Coastal Health website.
As of Friday afternoon, the website lists one clinic on March 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (these hours have been extended from the original three and a half listed) and a second on March 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All to take place at Bowen Island Community School.
All Bowen seniors born in 1941 or earlier or Indigenous people born in 1956 or earlier are eligible to call 1-877-587-5767 to book an appointment.
While some Bowen octo and nonagenarians reported being told that all on-island slots were full earlier this week, Vancouver Coastal Health has since opened up more on-island availability.
The health authority said Wednesday that it was monitoring appointment bookings and, if necessary, would expand the number of appointments available.
Mass immunizations as part of phase three of the province's COVID-19 Immunization Plan are scheduled to start in April.
