Accused B.C. drug dealer allegedly had hatchet, machete

A B.C. man accused of three counts of possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking was also alleged to have possession of a hatchet and machete.

Lyle James Lagimodiere was due before Vancouver Provincial Court Judge Katherine Denhoff March 20 but his case was put over to April 3 for arraignment.

Lagimodiere, 39, faces six allegations related to Oct. 6, 2023 events, a charge information sworn June 6, 2024 said.

In three counts, Lagimodiere is accused of possession of carfentanil, fentanyl, a benzodiazepine, methamphetamine and hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking in Vancouver.

Two other charges relate to his alleged possession of a machete and a hatchet for a purpose dangerous to the public peace.

Lagimodiere was released on bail on June 10, 2024.
