But what's on the voters' minds ahead of the Oct. 15 local government elections?
North Shore News polled readers and asked the question: What is the most important issue to you in this year's municipal elections?
The poll ran from Feb. 23 to March 4. Of the 1,024 votes, we can determine that 416 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:
The deadline to submit nomination papers to get on a council or school district ballot is Sept. 9.
Results are based on an online study of adult North Shore News readers who are located in North Vancouver and West Vancouver. The margin of error, which measures sample variability, is +/- 3.05%, 19 times out of 20.
