A man accused of inappropriately touching women’s bottoms as they were walking in Coquitlam has been arrested.
Today, Dec. 11, Mounties said they arrested a suspect on Sunday, Dec. 8, who was linked to nine sexual assaults against random women in the Burquitlam and Glen Park areas.
“We are committed to ensuring the safety of our community,” said Coquitlam RCMP Sgt. Karrie Ellis in a news release.
“Public safety is our top priority and we will dedicate any needed resources to protect our residents from harm and bring those responsible before the courts.”
Ellis also thanked the public and media for their assistance with the investigation.
The suspect, whose name is not being released at this time, has been released on conditions.
In a previous media statement, police described the man as 20 to 30 years old.
