North Vancouver’s Jake Ruby was named Man of the Match as Canada topped Jamaica 3-0 in a men’s U-17 friendly soccer match Nov. 27 in Kingston, Jamaica.
Ruby and the Canadians followed that win up with a 3-1 victory over Jamaica two days later, wrapping up an 11-day training camp.
The Canadian squad is gearing up for the 2017 CONCACAF Men’s Under-17 Championship, scheduled for April 21 to May 7 in Panama. The top four CONCACAF teams will qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, running Oct. 6-28 in India.
