Post-hardcore metal band Massive Scar Era (originally from Egypt but now based in Vancouver) released a new single and video, “Color Blind,” this week, from their upcoming EP of the same name.
The music video is a collaboration with Mily Mumford of Nebula Company Theatre and produced by Robert Thespian Bartholomew IV.
The band provided the soundtrack for Ahmad Abdalla’s 2010 film, Microphone, shot on the streets of Alexandria, Egypt. See story: "Microphone gives voice to the Egyptian underground."
Massive Scar Era, featuring Cherine Amr (vocalist, guitar); Nancy Mounir (violin); Dylan Wijdenes-Charles (bass) and Allan Heppner (drums), play the Rickshaw Theatre on May 15 with Tyr, Orphaned Land, Ghost Ship Octavius and Aeternam.
