Kiran Ahluwalia recorded “Awara” for her self-titled 2005 album.

She launches LOVEFest, a North American tour this month with Algerian Berber musician Souad Massi, which includes an April 19 show in Seattle at the Triple Door.

Ahluwalia’s new album, 7 Billion, will be released May 4 on Six Degrees Records.
