Happy Friday, Whistler! And a very merry Whismas to all who celebrate. Here's how things are shaping up out there so far.

Today's forecast calls for a chance of showers with a high of about 12 C in Whistler. A low of 6 C is expected overnight, with a chance of showers. Looking to tomorrow, the forecast calls for a chance of showers, with a high of about 10 C.

With warmer temperatures comes increased fire risk, and both Whistler and Pemberton are bringing in campfire bans this week, at the same time properties in the SLRD's Area A are on evacuation alert.

The Whistler Mountain Bike Park officially opens today, but the last day for skiing and riding Whistler Blackcomb is May 20.

Rainbow Park remains closed ahead of the May long weekend, while a large section of Lakeside Park is also out of commission.
